On CNN’s State of the Union yesterday, Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) said that there was going to have to be an independent investigation into the relationship between the Trump campaign and the administration. Franken said that the Kremlin interfered in our election, which is true but they didn’t hack it. They used state-media apparatuses and trolls to flood social media, which isn’t messing with vote totals—though a majority of Democrats, actually believe that they did. That’s insane.

The Clinton campaign conceded. The Obama White House said that the results of the 2016 election reflected the will of the people—and that the Department of Homeland Security saw no spikes in malicious cyber activity that would have suggested an attack. Even The Washington Post reported that it’s impossible to hack our elections. Investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson listed reasons why this theory is bunk, namely that whoever planned on fixing the race in this acid trip scenario would had to have known that tens of thousands of Trump supporters were really going to vote for Hillary and switch their votes—which didn’t happen. Even former Attorney General Loretta Lynch said that no technical interference came from Russia. Democrats, Hillary Clinton just lost the election.
The Minnesota senator also said that it’s racist for President Trump to call fake Indian Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) “Pocahontas” (via The Hill):
Mr. President, with all due respect, that's racist.'""'Don't — please stop doing that. I'm on Indian Affairs. This is completely unacceptable. You really should stop doing this. It doesn't serve anybody,'" Franken said he would have told the president. "Something like that."
Last week, the president reportedly mocked Democrats in a meeting with senators for letting Warren become the face of their party.
"Pocahontas is now the face of your party," Trump said in the meeting, sources told CNN.

Oh, and since President Trump’s executive order on immigration, namely the so-called travel ban, is still in the news—Franken admitted that some Somali refugees have gone back to Somalia and Syria to fight with al-Shabaab and ISIS respectively. He also said that this travel moratorium makes us less safe because it serves as a recruiting tool for terrorist organizations. Right, so if we close Gitmo and drop this executive order, the terrorists would just stop attacking us. Not buying that.
