McCain Surrogates Connect With Online Media

John McCain's campaign continues to reach out to online media.  One such effort includes arranging interviews with prominent surrogates. 

For example, the McCain campaign has recently provided several high-profile female McCain surrogates.  For example, our own Amanda Carpenter, writing at

Glamour, interviewed Mary Matalin.   BlogHer landed former Rep. Susan Molinari -- and HotAir's Ed Morrissey got an interview with former CEO Carly Fiorina.

The McCain campaign has also sought to match local surrogates with local blogs.  For example, The American Mind interviewed Rep. Paul Ryan, while PolitickerWa interviewed former SoS Ralph Munro.

With the general election now clearly underway, McCain's team appears to have begun a major effort at reaching out to online media—and a diversity of it (online reporters, conservatives, moderates, and non-partisan sites).  This is obviously important, and is a real step forward for the party.
