John McCain doesn't get enough credit for the surge.  This message is profound and is a compelling reason to vote Republican in '08.

Update:  McCain's answer to the question about the Vice President was very good.  He was able to seamlessly segue into his real message -- that he has the most foreign policy experience -- and thus, wouldn't need to rely on a VP to the same degree Bush did.
