President Trump’s crackdown on diversity, equity, and inclusions programs and positions within the federal government is facing some expected challenges, as federal bureaucrats look for ways to circumvent the executive order.

As Townhall reported on Thursday, Gun Owners of America noticed the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms edited the title of a top DEI employee in defiance of Trump’s order. The move prompted widespread calls among GOP lawmakers to abolish the agency.

Now, X account Libs of TikTok shared a scoop it received showing a government employee in a leadership position at a VA healthcare system discussing how they will circumvent the executive order.

The Trump administration knew it would run into these challenges, that's why the acting heads of federal agencies sent memos to federal workers urging them to report these types of efforts to "disguise" DEI programs.

“We are aware of efforts by some in government to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language. If you are aware of a change in any contract description or personnel position description since November 5, 2024 to obscure the connection between the contract and DEIA or similar ideologies, please report all facts and circumstances,” the memo states.

“There will be no adverse consequences for timely reporting this information," the memo adds. "However, failure to report this information within 10 days will result in adverse consequences.”
