Of Course CNN's Acosta Asked Trump This Question

CNN’s Jim Acosta shouted a question at President Trump Friday about his treatment of the press, asking if he would “stop calling the press the enemy of the people.”

While at an event marking six months of the GOP tax law, Trump spoke about Thursday’s shooting at a newsroom, saying the incident “shocked the conscience of our nation.”

“This attack shocked the conscience of our nation and filled our hearts with grief,” Trump said. “Journalists, like all Americans, should be free from the fear of being violently attacked while doing their job.”

He went on to say his administration “will not rest until we have done everything in our power to reduce violent crime and to protect innocent life.”

Cue Jim Acosta, who asked the president at least three times whether he’d stop criticizing the press so much.

Trump and his supporters are no fans of Acosta. At a recent rally in South Carolina the CNN chief White House correspondent was met with chants of "Go home, Jim!" and signs that read "CNN sucks."
