The Grammys Get Political With Appearance From Hillary Clinton

Viewers of the 60th annual Grammy Awards could not escape politics Sunday night as the stars spoke out about everything including the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, gender equality, sexual harassment, racism, and gun violence.

Host James Corden took plenty of jabs at President Trump, while artists like Kendrick Lamar, Bono, Trevor Noah, and Camilla Cabello also shared political messages.

But a cameo appearance from Hillary Clinton really put things over the top.

Corden had a pre-taped skit where he auditioned celebrities, including Cher, Snoop Dogg, Cardi B, DJ Khaled, and John Legend to read excerpts from Michael Wolff’s anti-Trump “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” book.

Clinton read a portion about the president’s habit of eating fast food: “He had a longtime fear of being poisoned, one reason why he liked to eat at McDonald’s —- nobody knew he was coming and the food was safely pre-made.”

“That’s it, we’ve got it. That’s the one,” Corden declared. "The Grammy is in the bag.”

Donald Trump Jr. was quick to respond, writing on Twitter, “Getting to read a #fakenews book excerpt at the Grammys seems like a great consolation prize for losing the presidency."

“The more Hillary goes on television the more the American people realize how awesome it is to have @realDonaldTrump in office #GrammyAwards2018,” he added.
