Trump's Tuesday Morning Tweetstorm: Fake News, Ninth Circuit Ruling, and Loretta Lynch

President Trump slammed the “fake news media” Tuesday morning on Twitter before following up with criticism of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling against the travel ban as well as former Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

“The Fake News Media has never been so wrong or so dirty. Purposely incorrect stories and phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. Sad!” he wrote.

He later followed up, writing "Fake News is at an all time high. Where is their apology to me for all of the incorrect stories???"

The tweets come hours before Attorney General Jeff Sessions is scheduled to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The president also commented on the Ninth Circuit Court’s ruling against his revised travel order temporarily banning refugees from several Middle East and North African nations.

The liberal Ninth Circuit in San Francisco argued that immigration is “not a one-person show.”

“Well, as predicted, the 9th Circuit did it again - Ruled against the TRAVEL BAN at such a dangerous time in the history of our country. S.C.” he wrote.

Sessions disagreed with the appeals court’s ruling, saying that the president’s executive order is “well within his lawful authority.”

"Recent attacks confirm that the threat to our nation is immediate and real. We must not place our nation at risk until we have the ability accurately and responsibly to vet those seeking entry here," Sessions said. "This is not about religion; it is about national security."

Trump later turned his attention to former Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

"A.G. Lynch made law enforcement decisions for political purposes...gave Hillary Clinton a free pass and protection. Totally illegal!" he said.

Former FBI Director James Comey testified last week that Lynch asked him to downplay his “investigation” into Hillary Clinton as merely a “matter.”
