ISIS Takes Credit For Manchester Attack

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the Manchester terror attack that killed 22 people and injured 59 others on Monday.

“One of the soldiers of the caliphate placed explosive devices in a gathering of crusaders in the middle of the British city of Manchester,” the terror group said in a statement, suggesting it was not a suicide attack.

According to British authorities, the bomber died when the improvised explosive device was detonated.

The statement also said the attack was in response to Britain’s “transgressions against the lands of the Muslims.”

Rita Katz, Director of SITE Intelligence Group, posted an image of the statement on Twitter, including an English-language version.
