Pelosi's Daughter Says Her Mom Will ‘Cut Your Head Off And You Won’t Even Know You’re Bleeding’

Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of House Minority Leader and soon-to-be Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), had some blunt words to describe her mother when she was asked about her on CNN’s “New Day” Wednesday morning.

“She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding,” Pelosi said of her mother. “That’s all you need to know about her.”

“No one ever won betting against Nancy Pelosi. She’s persevered,” she added. “You gotta give her credit. No matter what you think about her, you have to give her credit because, think about it, think about all of those presidents she’s endured. The Bush, the Bush, the Clinton—she’s been through it all.”

She celebrated her mother’s upcoming second run as Speaker of the House and all the women joining Congress this year.

“When Nancy Pelosi came to town, it was a boy’s club,” she said. “That was 30 years ago. Look around tomorrow. It’s going to be a whole new America. You’re going to see something so magical that you have not seen before if you think about how this country is changing when you look at who is representing us.”

Pelosi easily squashed opposition to her bid for Speaker of the House by cutting a deal with those opposed to her leadership. She has promised that her term as speaker will be four years at most.

Pelosi met Wednesday with President Trump in an attempt to reach a deal on funding for border security to end the partial government shutdown.
