Watch: Sen. Rubio Has a Heated Confrontation With Alex Jones Over Internet Censorship

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) was heckled by Alex Jones of InfoWars in a Senate hallway Wednesday. The confrontation quickly escalated as Rubio insisted that he didn't know who Jones was and Jones spoke over the senator's comments to reporters.

As Rubio spoke with the press about his concerns over foreign interference in social media, Jones repeatedly interrupted, asking him “what about the Democrats purging conservatives?”

The incident became heated after Jones touched Rubio on the shoulder.

“Don’t touch me again, man. I’m asking you not to touch me again,” Rubio told Jones.

When Jones asked Rubio if he was going to get him arrested, Rubio replied, “you’re not going to get arrested, I’ll take care of you myself."

“Oh he’ll beat me up,” Jones retorted.

“I didn’t say that,” Rubio replied.

Jones then called Sen. Rubio, “a little gangster thug.”

Rubio continued through the heckling to take questions from reporters, warning against overreach in regulating social media platforms.

As Rubio left for another hearing he called Jones a "clown," Jones responded by saying the senator was a "frat boy."

Jones is an infamous conspiracy theorist who thinks the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax and was recently banned by both Facebook and YouTube in a crackdown on hate speech.

He was on the hill attending a Senate hearing in which Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey are testifying about foreign influences on social media practices.
