Rovaniemi, FINLAND -- Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has cancelled a meeting scheduled with German Chancellor Merkel for Tuesday afternoon due to "pressing issues."

"Unfortunately, we must reschedule the Berlin meetings due to pressing issues. We look forward to rescheduling this important set of meetings. The Secretary looks forward to being in Berlin soon,” State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus released in a statement.
The cancellation came shortly after Pompeo's remarks to the 11th Arctic Council Ministerial Meeting.
Pompeo is scheduled to meet with UK Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday in London.
