Reminder: Bernie Sanders Thinks People Standing in Bread Lines is Terrific, Proves Government is Working

Socialist Bernie Sanders officially jumped into the 2020 presidential race this week and proudly declared his ideas of government control are becoming mainstream within the Democrat Party.

"You will recall, you may recall, but in 2016, many of the ideas I talked about: Medicare for all, raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, making public colleges and universities tutiion free," Sanders said during an interview with CBS News. "You know what's happened over three years? All of thhose ideas and many more are part of the political mainstream."

But a quick look at Sanders' past and the roots of his ideology says everything about his plans for America.

"You know, it's funny. Sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is when people are lining up for food. That's a good thing. In other countries, people don't line up for food. The rich get the food and the poor starve to death," Sanders lamented back in the 70s.

At the beginning of his career, Sanders actively fought against the United States and proclaimed America should be more like Venezuela and Cuba.  Last time Sanders ran for President Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, who is currently blocking badly needed food and medical supplies into the country, endorsed him as a "revolutionary friend."

Sanders is also a big defender of Marxism and communism, an ideology responsible for the deaths of more than 100 million people.

President Trump has weighed in on Sanders' candidacy.

"Personally I think he missed his time. On trade he would sort of agree on trade. I wish Bernie well, it will be interesting to see how he does," Trump said from the White House Tuesday.
