Trump: An Announcement on Tax Reform is Coming in Two Weeks

Speaking to a round table of U.S. airline executives Thursday morning, President Donald Trump indicated an announcement on major tax reform is coming within weeks. 

"Over the next two or three weeks," Trump said, adding his tax reform proposal will be "phenomenal in terms of tax."

Earlier this week, House Speaker Paul Ryan indicated during an interview with Fox News that drafting of tax reform legislation won't happen until summer. 

"It's just the way the budget works that we won't be able to get the ability to write our tax reform bill until our spring budget passes, and then we write that through the summer," Ryan said.
