Missing: The 'Affordable' Part of The Affordable Care Act

When Obamacare, officially known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, was shoved through in 2010 by Democrats, Americans were promised they could keep their doctor and that health insurance coverage would become more affordable. We've seen the opposite to be true and middle class families being forced to comply with the law through the individual mandate, are living an expensive nightmare.

"If you policy premium increased, you should know this isn't unique to Humana. Premium increases generally will occur industry wide. Increases aren't based on your individual claims or changes in health status. Many other factors go in to your premium, including: ACA compliance, including the addition of the new essential health benefits."

In other words, the Mangione's are paying triple for their healthcare each month because they are being forced to pay for coverage they don't want or need.
Unfortunately, the Mangione family is just one example. This is happening everywhere. Millions of individuals are expected to lose their employer provided insurance while big business gets a break from the Obama administration.

On top of unbearable skyrocketing costs, the law has already taken away spousal coverage.

Both the University of Virginia and UPS told their employees recently they are no longer offering spousal coverage to those able to obtain insurance elsewhere; meaning thousands of Americans will no longer be able to choose the benefits they prefer.

UVA said Wednesday this is only one of many “major changes” coming to their health plans as a result of ObamaCare. The university says the changes are necessary because the law is projected to add $7.3 million to the cost of the university’s health plan in 2014 alone.

We have yet to find the "affordable" part in the Affordable Care Act.
