It’s day one of the 2012 DNC convention in Charlotte and Planned Parenthood is out in full force. Paid flaks wearing bright pink t-shirts that say, “2012: Yes We Plan!” with a birth control wheel representing the zero in 2012, are on street corners throughout the downtown area.

When I approached one of the volunteers to ask about what she was doing, in true community organizing fashion, I was told I would have to talk to the head organizer for information, or in other words, a keeper or public relations rep who keeps all volunteers on message.
After I turned off the camera, the young woman seen in the video relocated to a different area of the street.
