Why Does Summer Make News?

I agree with El Rushbo — why is 100 degree weather news? I'm not sure that I agree with his other premise, though: that the media crows about high temperatures to push a global warming agenda. Frankly, I just don't think they're smart enough to do that.

I'm watching the television in here, and these people in the media are going nuts. They're going insane over the fact it's a hundred degrees in New York in July in the Northeast. "It's the first time it's a hundred degrees in New York since 2001," they're saying. So? So what? It's global warming, Rush, don't you know? Yeah, I know what they're trying to do.
