Florida is a key state for the GOP in the upcoming cycle, and so the RNC has decided that my hometown, Tampa, will be the site of the 2012 National Convention, according to Politico. It's the third time Tampa has tried to host the convention, and if they get the nod this time, it will take place on August 27, 2012.
