Observers think China's one-child policy may go the way of the dinosaurs, though, not because of an official reversal in the law. Rather, many families are simply viewing the one-child policy as a better economical choice. My view is that it will gradually be taken apart, piece by piece, over the next few years...until we all wake up and discover that, lo and behold, the one-child policy has been dismantled to the point that it's no longer a one-child policy.
