SRLC Straw Poll Stunner

Here are the results of the SRLC straw poll.
Mitt Romney: 43.9
Ron Paul: 43.8
Sarah Palin: 18
Newt Gingrich: 18%
Mike Huckabee: 4%
Frankly, I'm shocked. Romney didn't even show up at the event, but he was still able to muster superior organizational skill and pull out ahead of Paul's straw-poll machine. Huckabee reportedly had boots on the ground for the poll, but as the results show, he didn't have nearly as many boots as he needed.

I'll reiterate that I don't think the results have any kind of long-term implications.
