Meredith just mentioned that Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) is claiming his party threw him out over the health care vote (he was a no), even though Dems said they were pushing him away because he was the subject of an ethics probe.

Massa said as early as Friday that "health concerns" were the primary reason for his departure. Then he said he was going to resign on Friday. Then he was going to today. Now he says he may rescind today's resignation, too.

If this guy is innocent, he's doing a pretty bad job of making that innocence believable.
