Video: Anti-Paul Ryan Backlash Continues

My goodness, the Left's vaunted budget backlash is in full swing.  Watch the crazy-hostile reception Rep. Paul Ryan received today at a townhall meeting in Greenfield, Wisc., a suburb of Milwaukee (via

John McCormack):

This display of unadulterated fury was unleashed after a questioner thanked Ryan for having the political courage to craft a plausible plan to control and reverse America's debt.  Republicans everywhere should be trembling with fear.  At this rate, audiences might soon start hurling things at them.  Flowers, maybe.

UPDATE
- Weasel Zippers points out a major lefty astroturf fail:

USA Today exposes the fraud that is activist-organized protest at Republican town halls this recess. Their story opens with Paul Ryan calling on a man in the front row before recognizing him, “You changed clothes!” USA Today reports that the man had been at a separate event six hours earlier. Politico reports that “Citizens Action of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Labor Council have enlisted a traveling band of seniors to follow Paul Ryan’s every move.” But the leftist activists have been unable to match genuine support for Ryan.

UPDATE II
- More backlash!

The USA Today/Gallup survey of 1,013 U.S. adults looked at whether Americans expressed more confidence in the ability of Republicans or Democrats in Congress to deal with six major issues facing the country.

The federal budget was the only issue in which respondents clearly preferred one party over the other, with 48 percent favoring Republicans and 36 percent Democrats.
