This year, from November 4-6, the Winthrop University chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity will hit the road once again in their traditional bike-a-thon, this time to raise money for the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, or IAVA.

The decision to raise money for the troops wasn't just about raising money for charity and giving back to the community; supporting IAVA is personal for PKA fraternity members. ...

Currently, four of the brothers are enlisted in the military, and two of them will deploy to Afghanistan with the Marines in April. "We love our brothers, and we support them, and we just want to show them that we support them," Pi Kappa Alpha bike-a-thon organizer Nick Rogers tells Townhall.
