Senate Votes Down Reid Bill

The Senate has effectively shut down Reid's debt ceiling proposal by a vote of 50 to 49 Sunday afternoon.

Reid took to the floor afterwards to tell members that a debt ceiling deal had not yet been reached, but he said that more roll call votes are possible today and urged members to be available to vote.
