James Comey Went Above and Beyond His Civic Duty Today

Former FBI Director James Comey was thrilled to share his "I Voted" sticker early Tuesday morning. But, his civic duty didn't stop there. He informed his Twitter following that he was now on his way to go door knocking to make sure his neighbors were going to vote too.

We now know he was encouraging them to vote for Jennifer Wexton, the Democrat running to unseat Rep. Barbara Comstock.

He showed up at a canvassing spot, picked up some Wexton stickers and received a script, according to Wexton's communications director Aaron Fritschner. He then gave a speech.

Comey and his wife Patrice gave $2,700 to Wexton's campaign in September. It's no surprise he's rooting for an anti-Trump candidate, considering the former FBI director has sounded off on the current president multiple times. Just last month he called him "morally incompetent."
