Echoing the sentiments of President Trump, White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway told the press she is not impressed by James Comey's latest media foray. Comey gave an interview to ABC's George Stephanopoulos, part of which aired Friday morning, to discuss his new book, "A Higher Loyalty." Perhaps unsurprisingly, it was full of allegations intended to make Trump look utterly ridiculous.
The president is "ego driven and about personal loyalty” and is "untethered to the truth," Comey claims.
His bitterness can be easily explained. Comey, the former FBI director who found himself in the middle of both the Hillary Clinton email investigation and the Russian collusion probe, was fired by Trump last year for his apparent mishandling of both.
He has now proven himself to be nothing more than a "disgruntled employee" who is spinning his short tenure in the Trump administration to sell books, according to Conway.

Conway's dismissal of Comey was pretty harsh, but it was still nothing compared to the president's diatribe this morning.
James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR. Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired. He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH. He is a weak and.....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 13, 2018
....untruthful slime ball who was, as time has proven, a terrible Director of the FBI. His handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case, and the events surrounding it, will go down as one of the worst “botch jobs” of history. It was my great honor to fire James Comey!— Donald J.
