Maxine Waters Bashes Trump...at an AIDS Walk

In light of Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) politicizing a president's somber phone call to a Gold Star widow, we have learned that nothing is sacred from partisan bickering. That was true last weekend at the AIDS Walk in Los Angeles. One of the headliners for the event, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), used the venue to call for President Trump's impeachment.

The walk was supposed to raise awareness about the work that's being done to combat AIDS. In her speech during the opening ceremony, Waters started on topic, but look how quickly she turned it political.

“We face unprecedented challenges today in our struggle against HIV and AIDS and I want you to know those people in Congress on the opposite side of the aisle from me control every branch of our federal government,” Waters said. “And we have, unfortunately, an unstable, erratic person in the White House.”

“We don’t know what this president will do, or say, or tweet from one day to the next. Don’t forget, this is not a political event, but I’m heading toward impeachment,” she said.

Of course, Waters has had no issues recently using inappropriate venues for her political rants. At the funeral for comedian Dick Gregory in September, Waters again talked impeachment - during her eulogy.

"[Trump] has the Alt-Right and the KKK and everybody else inside his cabinet," she said.

"I bet you Dick Gregory would tell me yeah, he did [collude with Russia]," Waters said.

Waters then claimed that "when I get through with Donald Trump, he's going to wish he had been impeached."

Impeachment cries are a bit farfetched to begin with, but to make one during a funeral is beyond the pale.

Hopefully Waters and Wilson will realize some things are off limits.
