House Intel Cmte Asks for DOJ, FBI Documents Related to Comey's Firing

The House Intelligence Committee has asked for documents from the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation related to President Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey.

On Thursday, former FBI Director Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel for the Russia investigation. President Trump is insistent that he and his associates in no way colluded with Russia during the 2016 election. He believes that this latest probe will prove that, dismissing it as a "witch hunt" on Twitter.
