De Blasio: New York Received 'No Guidance' on Travel Ban

Leaders all over the country are fuming over President Trump's executive order on immigration, which affects travelers from several Middle Eastern and African nations - not only because they see it is as a racist "Muslim ban," but because they supposedly had no warning. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio made that claim on Sunday.

"There was no guidance," he said on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday. "And obviously, there was not clear guidance to federal officials around the country. That's why there is so much confusion here."

New York was the scene of some of the loudest and largest anti-executive order demonstrations on Saturday. Hundreds showed up to demand the release of detainees who were being held at JFK international, while taxi drivers at the airport went on strike.

Other forms of resistance came from federal judges around the nation, one of whom issued a stay that prevented deportations of any detainee who was en route from the list of banned countries or was being held in a U.S. airport.
