Super PAC Robocall in NY Claims Cruz Has Done 'Nothing' to Help Families

A robocall in upstate New York is telling families that “a vote for Ted Cruz is a wasted vote.”

“David” from the New Day for America PAC begins by informing New Yorkers that Cruz loses to Hillary Clinton in just about every critical swing state in new polling – and it “wasn’t even close.”

"David" goes on to argue that Cruz's congressional record is nothing to write home about.

"Voters realized Ted Cruz hasn’t accomplished anything as a senator," he says in the message, adding that Americans are tired of Ted Cruz giving speech after speech while doing "nothing" for families.

A Cruz presidency would produce nothing but "four more years of failed policies," the call concludes.

“A vote for Ted Cruz is a wasted vote.”

I imagine the Cruz campaign would respond to this message by pointing the Super PAC to the Life, Marriage, and Family section on the candidate's website, which highlights his effort to defund Planned Parenthood and defend states' rights to define marriage.

New Day for America is not authorized by any candidate. While some may think it sounds like a Trump campaign ploy, one glance at its website quickly reveals they are a fan of John Kasich.

Considering Cruz is still trying to overcome his "New York values" comments, this robocall is probably the last thing he wanted to hear.
