Obama Offers Brief Remarks on Brussels Attacks, Doesn't Mention Radical Islam

President Obama’s last day in Cuba included a morning press conference where he spoke about Monday’s terror attack in Brussels – but only briefly.

"This is another reminder that the world must unite,” Obama said. “We must be together."

“We will do whatever is necessary to support our friend and ally Belgium," he continued.

"We stand in solidarity with them in condemning these outrageous attacks."

After these few short comments, Obama quickly pivoted to what he proudly considers a new, friendlier relationship with Cuba.

“I’ve come to bury the last remnants of the Cold War,” Obama said.

Contrast this to Sen. Ted Cruz’s remarks this morning in Washington, D.C. The GOP presidential candidate had no problem referring to the deadly attacks as the result of radical Islamic terror.
