Sen. Cochran: Uh, I'm Actually Not in the Hospital, But Thanks for the Well Wishes

Early on Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump tweeted that although one "yes" vote on Obamacare repeal is in the hospital and two Republican Senators are opposed to the bill, the GOP would eventually have the votes to pass the legislation. Trump also argued that the filibuster rule needs to be eliminated.

The "one Yes vote in hospital" comment, which confused people as nobody in the Senate was known to be hospitalized, was later clarified to be referring to Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS).

Cochran, however, would like everyone to know that while he's actually not in the hospital, he is indeed in Mississippi recovering from an illness.

According to Fox News, Cochran has been absent from Washington for a week. Cochran's staff said that the Senator was recovering from a "urological issue" that is neither cancerous nor serious. He intends on returning to the Senate shortly.

Our best wishes for a speedy recovery, Sen. Cochran!
