Trump To Meet Putin Next Week

President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet next week, it was announced on Thursday. The two will meet at the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany. It is unclear what they will discuss, in particular if Trump will discuss the allegations of Russia interfering in the 2016 election. This will be the first time the two leaders have met face-to-face.

Per Trump's national security adviser, the two will discuss "whatever the president wants." There is no topic or agenda specifically set for the meeting.

“There’s no specific agenda — it’s really going to be whatever the president wants to talk about,” said Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, the president’s national security adviser.

The meeting will be the first face-to-face discussion with Mr. Putin since Mr. Trump took office, and comes as congressional committees and a special counsel are digging more deeply into possible ties between the president’s campaign and Moscow.

The summit will be held from July 7 through the 8th.

Well, this should certainly be interesting. Stay tuned...
