Ted Cruz Takes on Birtherism; Makes Case He's Eligible for Presidency

The elephant in the room was addressed about a half hour into the sixth GOP debate, when moderator Neil Cavuto asked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to address concerns that he's not a natural born citizen and is ineligible to serve as president. Cruz was born in Canada, to an American mother, while his parents were working in Calgary.

Cruz masterfully handled the question, which then devolved into an extended debate with Donald Trump. Trump's attempt at a rebuttal to Cruz's assertion that he is eligible to be president was not received well by the audience, who constantly booed the candidate.
