A New Wrinkle

Senate Republicans have reportedly found a procedural problem with the health care bill that may well make it ineligible for expedited reconciliation in the Senate

.  (HT: Kathryn Jean Lopez at the Corner, who's done yeoman's work through this entire tawdry debacle).

Apparently, the Democrats are refusing to meet with them and the parliamentarian about it, hoping (presumably) to force through a House vote first.

But if I were a House member who might well lose my seat over my  "yes" vote, I'd sure want to know that my sacrifice wouldn't be in vain, wouldn't you?  If you're a Democrat, it's bad enough to be voted out of office for supporting health care -- but it's much worse to have done so amid the Cornhusker Kickback and a host of other petty corruptions.
