The Obama plan to limit the deductibility of charitable donations is a thinly-veiled power grab, and an attack on a distinguishing feature of American life -- our willingness to give willingly out of our own pockets to causes we believe are worthy. By making private giving more expensive and less advantageous, it allows government another opportunity to "occupy the field" and crowd out private giving altogether.

Shameful.
