House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NJ) on Tuesday subpoenaed former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks and White House Chief-of-Staff Annie Donaldson to testify before his Committee.

According to a Medium post from the Judiciary Committee Democrats, they're interested in "testimony and documents related to the House Judiciary Committee’s ongoing investigation into obstruction of justice, public corruption, and other abuses of power by President Trump, his associates, and members of his Administration. The redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report documented alarming misconduct and obstruction of justice by President Trump. Donaldson and Hicks were critical witnesses to this behavior."

“As I said earlier today, the Judiciary Committee’s investigation into obstruction of justice, public corruption and abuse of power by President Trump and his Administration will continue. I have issued these subpoenas today to two critical witnesses who have worked closely with the President. We are seeking the information in order to conduct proper oversight, consider potential legislation and perform our constitutional duties," Nadler said in a statement.

The subpoena calls for Hicks to turn over 39 pieces of information in relation to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report. She has until June 4th to turn over the documents. The Committee wants her to testify on June 19th.

Donaldson is asked to turn over 36 documents and information relating to the Mueller report. She has until June 4th to produce the documents. The Committee then wants her to partake in a deposition on June 24th.

The two subpoenas come after former White House Don McGahn failed to show up to testify in front of the Committee, despite Nadler's open-handed threats late Monday night.
