President Donald Trump will head to Wichita, Kansas, on Monday as a key United States Senate race tightens.
The race between Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Democrat Adam Hamilton is rated a “toss-up” by the Cook Political Report as contests around the country are getting more competitive close to Election Day.
"President Trump and Roger Marshall are working in lockstep to cut taxes, protect communities, and level the playing field for farmers," NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell said in a statement.
"Unlike Adam Hamilton, who is a pedophile protector and will vote with Chuck Schumer every chance he gets,” Cantrell continued.
Thank you to Olathe, Fort Scott, Pittsburg and Andover for the warm welcome yesterday on the last day of the KS GOP Bus Tour! Backed by tens of millions from Washington insiders, Adam Hamilton is being brought in to execute Chuck Schumer's tax-and-spend platform. Hamilton’s radical priorities of amnesty for illegals, clemency for convicted criminals, and liberal climate activism have to be funded somehow—and that somehow is your pocketbook. Say no to out-of-control government spending fueled by your tax dollars and vote for Roger Marshall!

The White House said in a statement that “Kansans are benefiting from historic tax relief, surging private investment and job creation, stronger rural healthcare, major support for farmers and ranchers, and new investments in the state’s military installations.”
Kansas has not elected a Democrat to the upper chamber since 1932, but the state currently has a Democrat governor, Laura Kelly, and the open gubernatorial race is rated “Lean Republican” by the Cook Political Report.
“Some days we’ll agree. Some days we won’t. Either way, I’ll work with anyone to do what’s good for Kansans. And I’ll always be ready to sit down and have a civil conversation with the president on how to make things better for the people of our state,” Hamilton said in a video prior to the president’s visit.
Welcome to Kansas, Mr. President. https://t.co/uBQPaChqgC

Trump won the Sunflower State in 2024 with over 57 percent of the vote, compared with just over 41 percent for then-Vice President Kamala Harris. As for Marshall, he won his 2020 race with over 52 percent, compared with just under 42 percent for Democrat Barbara Bollier.
