Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Tuesday evening was hospitalized for acute cholecystitis, a benign gallbladder condition. The 87-year-old received non-surgical treatment for the condition.
After oral arguments on Monday, RBG underwent outpatient tests at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. Tests confirmed that she had a gallstone that was blocking her bile duct, which eventually lead to an infection.
The Justice is currently at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She's planning to partake in remote oral arguments on Wednesday from her hospital room, where she is expected to remain for the next few days.

The High Court will be hearing Little Sisters of the Poor v. Pennsylvania via a conference call on Wednesday. The case focuses on whether or not religious groups are exempt from the Affordable Care Act's contraceptive mandate.
