The more I think about it, the more I'm coming to the horrifying realization that Woke 2.0 — which will happen if and when Democrats retake power — is going to be far worse than I imagined.
I thought they were going to go hard on the DEI/CRT stuff and push through their "Transgender Bill of Rights," and they probably will. But there was a story I wrote about earlier this week that needs more attention, and it's a harbinger of what's really going to happen if Democrats gain and hold on to power.
Leftist groups have waged war on conservative lawyers in a highly-organized and well-funded effort to get these lawyers fired, disbarred, and branded as toxic.

This goes beyond their objections to the 2020 election and shows that the Left is pushing for a wholesale ideological capture of our legal system — lawyers, judges, courts — to forever have a chokehold on this nation. We see this in activist judges like James Boasberg, who hasn't missed an opportunity to rule against Trump. And a federal judge today ruled that it's unconstitutional to criminalize noncitizen voting.

And in New York, Gov. Kathy Hochul has appointed Letitia James as special prosecutor in the Cornell case after a victim — who is still unnamed, despite the Cornell students being publicly named and shamed — filed a lawsuit over a rape case that the DA refused to prosecute back in 2024.

And, of course, we saw the attacks directed at Michael Desronvil, the holdout Lindsay Clancy juror who believed she intended to kill her young children and refused to acquit her on the grounds of insanity. He had his name dragged through the mud and the message was clear: if you sit on a jury, you will vote the way the mob wants. Or else.
In law schools, future attorneys are being taught by the likes of Dean Spade, who think rapists need "accountability circles" instead of hard prison time.
All of these things are related. The Left is playing a game of legal chess, positioning their pieces so they can declare checkmate and capture the king. When that happens, conservatives will have no legal recourse.
Your attorneys will be taught that rapists can't go to prison, but posting critical things about, say, Islam are definitely illegal. Then those attorneys will become judges who think we cannot criminalize illegal aliens voting in our elections or restrict tablet use by violent criminals threatening witnesses, victims, and police. Those judges will comprise appeals courts, circuit courts, county courts, and the Supreme Court, where they will rule for the Democrats.
And if you happen to be an attorney with morals, standards, and principles, the Left will launch a coordinated effort to have you disbarred so you can't practice law. None of this is coincidental, and none of it should be dismissed as run-of-the-mill left-wing insanity. George Soros spent years putting money into district attorney and attorney general races not because they're high-profile, but because they have power, and we see that in places like Philadelphia's Larry Krasner and Minnesota's Keith Ellison.
If we don't put an end to this lawfare, soon the law will be whatever the Left says it is. The Constitution won't have to be shredded, because it'll be rendered moot, and the concept of a blind justice system will go by the wayside.
