Perry ahead in Florida poll

(CNN) - Even though he's not in the 2012 presidential race, Texas Gov. Rick Perry leads the pack of Republican candidates in a survey of likely Florida voters by the American Research Group.

Perry polled at 16 percent among registered Republicans, with Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney tying for second place at 15 percent. Fmr. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin came in third with 15 percent, and businessman and radio commentator Herman Cain was in fourth at 11 percent.
