NH Young Republicans say Johnson should debate

The chairman of the New Hampshire Young Republicans says excluding former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson from next week's debate goes against the spirit of the state's first-in-the-nation presidential primary.

Only candidates who have received an average of at least 2 percent in national or New Hampshire polls were invited to the June 13 debate hosted by WMUR-TV, CNN and the New Hampshire Union Leader.

David Hurst, chairman of the New Hampshire Young Republicans says Johnson has an impressive record as governor and should have been included. Johnson's campaign also points out that the margin of error in most polls means there's no statistical difference between 1 percent and 3 percent.
