Ron Paul to Attend NH Debate
Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) will attend the New Hampshire debate on June 13. This will be Paul’s 2nd Republican primary debate. Paul’s first debate was held on May 5th in Greenville, South Carolina. Paul will join six other declared or soon-to-be declared candidates for the Republican presidential nomination. Paul will debate with Michele Bachmann, Tim Pawlenty, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum. Although Santorum and Bachmann have not yet declared their candidacy, they are expected to do so soon.

An invitation to the debate was also given to Mitch Daniels, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Jon Huntsman, Sarah Palin and Donald Trump. However, Huckabee, Daniels, and Trump have already dropped out of the 2012 presidential race. Palin, who is currently on her “One Nation” bus tour, has already turned down the invitation to the debate. In response to the invitation, Palin said: “That’s quite soon. So, no I don’t think I’m going to be there. Thank you for asking though,” reports WMUR.

When Paul debates at St. Anselm College on June 13 he will be doing so on the heels of several popular statements made on his House website and on the House floor. In his speech,”The Last Nail,” Paul talked about what the loss of liberty means for the future of America. And, in his weekly Texas Straight Talk installment, entitled “Enabling a Future American Dictator,” Paul warned readers of the dangers of not holding a President accountable for his actions.
