Regulation, Harassment, Manipulation, and Other Bureaucratic Hobbies

Another day, another SEC investigation. It seems like the Government has their hands busy harassing the few people in this economy who actually produce wealth. Lou Basenese, founder of Wall Street Daily, also spoke with John about the inside stories of Wall Street.

Show Prep:

Lou Basenese, founder of Wall Street Daily, joined the program to discuss the misconceptions of Wall Street – and how DC too often plays into this:

What’s Right With Ransom:

Big Three:

Number Three:

Today the SEC is meeting with Nasdaq and other exchanges to talk about the recent tech failures that lead to closing down some trading . . .

Number Two:

Don’t get me wrong: I still think Scarlet Fu is brilliant and radiant – but she obviously has good days and bad days. She went over the impact of sequestration (yes we still talk about that) on Bloomberg news.

Wait! You mean industries that are heavily subsidized might suffer a bit more under government spending “cuts”? Whoa!

Number One:

Fantastic new Jobless Numbers! Oh, by “fantastic” we mean slightly better than our abhorrent “normal” levels. . . And by “jobless numbers” we mean “rough guess of what Jobless Numbers might be” since there are some technical issues in this report.

Other News:

Listen up Obama: The Ransom Notes Radio crew needs some stimulus.

The CIA is giving guns to Syrian Rebels. . . With all the Jihadists in the area I certainly hope the CIA are running universal background checks – and banning all “military-style” assault rifles.

On Syria, the NYT is asking: Who do you Trust?

Remember that IRS scandal? Yeah, it just got worse.

Just defund the law! Stop with this “Delay” and “compromise” approach. . . Then again, why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?
