Our betters are our worsers.

If one gets nothing out of studying Talmud, he will conclude that rabbis are very curious people. Those in the time of the Talmudic period tried to understand the behavior of every animal, crop, and atmospheric event. There are detailed discussions on how various things work and their relation to Jewish law. The same is true today, as rabbis need to understand advanced machinery used in food preparation for the purpose of kosher certification. A recent meeting discussed medical issues as they relate to Jewish law, and many rabbinical responses have been written on COVID and potential human cloning.

There is a discussion in the Talmud about sheep. It is noted that there is often a sheepdog that guards and leads the pack. So one of the rabbis asks what happens in the case where the dog is blind. The conclusion is that it will take the sheep to a bad place, like over a cliff. The analogy is then used for our leaders: what happens when our leaders are bad? The rabbis conclude that a generation gets the leaders it deserves.

I don’t watch award shows, like most normal people. Overly pampered, clueless, hyper-wealthy fools praising one another seems like a snoozer. While I did not watch the Grammys, I did see a comment from one of the prize recipients. Billie Eilish, whose music I don’t know, commented after winning Best Song of the Year, “No one is illegal in a stolen land.” Now, this is a very revealing statement. Sure, most of the “winners” denounced ICE. But Ms. Eilish is working on the claim that the entire U.S. is one big piece of stolen land. Now, I don’t know how she could square the Louisiana Purchase and the Alaska Purchase with “stolen.” If a person goes to a store and buys beer, no security guard is going to run after him and claim that the beer is stolen. Obviously, Ms. Einstein would argue that the French and Russians stole the land, and the U.S. buying the same did not change its status. Who said that you needed to go to college to be a genius?

If the U.S. is “stolen land,” then obviously the site of her house or multiple homes would also constitute the same. Would she welcome Mexican families into her place? Would she tell them that she has no more right than they to be on the property? Or maybe, she would hire someone to determine which Indian tribe owned the land where she lives. She could then publicly return their land and move into her car. I don’t know where she could park, as that land was stolen, too. There is a game on the Left in which each star has to show that he or she is more enlightened than the rest. If she claims that the U.S. is stolen land, then ostensibly every country in the world is “stolen.” How far do we have to go back in order to determine who is the legitimate owner? 2,000 years? Maybe more?

The reality is that throughout history—and also between American Indian tribes—wars were fought over real estate. The winner claimed it as his, and even the loser acknowledged the same. Everyone remembers General Custer losing at the Battle of the Little Bighorn, but do they remember that the U.S. had enormous success fighting not only the British but also many Indian tribes as the country expanded westward? Nobody argued that the winners had to give back the spoils—until that argument percolated up with the Israelis. Whenever the Israelis won land, it was immediately announced that they would eventually have to give it back. Why? Putin is still sitting on parts of Georgia that he took, and the Turks for 50 years have held half of Cyprus. No, there is the Jew Rule, and the Jew Rule is that Jews are not allowed to win. Sure, a guy may be allowed to get an Olympic medal, but Jews in Israel cannot win. And if they win, they have to give it back. I warned that if this thinking was not overturned, the same argument would be brought to the U.S. And it has.

Eilish’s moronic comments are no surprise. She wore a popular pin with two bloody hands. The pin is based on the horrific case of two Israelis getting lost and entering Ramallah during the second intifada. They were taken to the local police station, where they were killed and disemboweled. One of the terrorists put his two hands into the blood of one of the murdered Israelis and then showed his hands outside. The body was then thrown down to the crowd below. If she’s with them, then let’s throw out as many illegal aliens as possible. Obviously, anything she says is the opposite of reality.

Her comments dovetail beautifully with the most recent Epstein file dump. While one always has to take care in making conclusions based on things said by the deceased pedophile, there are a couple of things we can learn. Those who hung out with Epstein represented the “elite” of monarchy, business, and politics. New names have been added to the wall of shame, and more pictures, videos, and emails give a sordid look at the “sheepdogs” of modern society. Why did Bill Gates need those antibiotics again? What was the founder of LinkedIn and a major funder of the Left doing on Epstein’s island? Even Elon Musk had correspondence with Epstein, but had the good sense to stay away from his island, though he was invited.

As the rabbis of the Talmud said, the leaders reflect the people. In the case of America and much of the West, the debased and shameless “leaders” represent their class or caste of college graduates and well-to-do families. They certainly do not reflect the majority of Americans who work hard and do their best to keep their heads above water and bring up families. Essentially, just as the later Star Trek could have the saucer separate from the body of the Enterprise, the wealthy in-crowd have separated themselves from the people they supposedly represent and lead. What is Prince Andrew up to in those pictures? Why were both Republicans and Democrats such close pals of a convicted pedophile? He supplied them with what they wanted, and he obviously got something in return. A former math teacher, Epstein became fabulously wealthy and had multiple homes throughout the world. His private plane hosted Bill Clinton, Gates, and others for visits to his hedonistic private island. Do our betters have to be perfect? Of course not. But when they are so debauched, can we really expect successful leadership? Epstein has become a black hole that is sucking in all of those stars that enjoyed being so close to him. Will anyone be punished? Will there be arrests and prosecutions? I doubt it. You want to have an empty Capitol building?

While teachers are more important for children than actors and rock stars, tell me how many teachers get a Time Magazine cover each year? We are enamored with the rich and famous, and if you are stuck in line at the supermarket, you can learn that aliens spoke with Spielberg or that Meghan and Harry are really holograms of other people. We are always fascinated by the lives of the well-known. The problem is that the more we know about them, the more we realize that we don’t want to know anything about them. So, Ms. Eilish, I expect to see "For Sale" signs at all of your properties. Maybe drop the woke shtick and go visit the widow of the fellow whose blood graced your pin. Nah, that would actually involve her having a moral compass.
