When Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris for president, the abortion lobby was euphoric. Pro-abortion groups across the country were quick to rally around the Democrat heir apparent, with the hope that she will push an even more extreme abortion agenda than that of her predecessor if she’s elected.
Never before has the abortion industry’s wish list of extreme policies been closer to reality than it is with Kamala Harris. Before she was even elected as vice president, Harris was recognized as “the most radically pro-abortion candidate to run for president or vice president in the history of our country” based largely on her pro-abortion record as attorney general of California and then as a United States senator,
During her time in the Senate, she co-sponsored the deceptively named Women’s Health Protection Act, which would ban states from having pro-life laws and mandate all-trimester abortion all across the country. It’s unsurprising that when she presided over a vote on the bill in 2022 as a sitting vice president, Harris voiced her continued support.
As the senator from California, Harris maintained a 100 percent voting record from the pro-abortion group NARAL, a reward for rejecting commonsense measures like ensuring that babies who survive a failed abortion receive medical care. She also opposed protections for babies at 20 weeks’ gestation and later who can feel pain.
Her partisan and inhumane stance on life followed her to the White House, where she’s served as the primary spokesperson for the Biden/Harris abortions-around-America tour. That tour has made countless stops through battleground states over the last few months and even resulted in Harris visiting a Planned Parenthood abortion facility, a first for a sitting vice president.

While Joe Biden had trouble at times even using the word ‘abortion,’ Kamala shouts it. Her record and actions prove that she is a ‘shout your abortion’ candidate who supports no limits on abortion – even in the seventh, eighth and ninth months of pregnancy.
Now that Biden is receding from the picture, we can expect an even bigger focus on the issue of abortion this election. This will be Harris’ top issue. Having her as the Democratic Party nominee should shatter any illusions that Republicans can avoid the abortion conversation in 2024.
With the hundreds of millions the Left will pour into abortion-centered campaign ads this year, the GOP cannot afford to adopt the ostrich approach by burying their heads in the sand. They instead must be peacocks – boldly exposing how extreme the Democrats are in supporting no limits and drawing a contrast with their own compassion for unborn children and their mothers. They must explain that while Kamala Harris has said she supports shutting down pregnancy centers, Republicans support programs to help women with unexpected pregnancies and families access the resources they need and deserve. When women are truly empowered, many more will find the courage to choose life.
Harris’ record on abortion forecasts what will happen in states across this country if she is at the helm.
The progress we have made over the last two years in the greatest human rights battle of our time will be reversed. The 24 states that protect life at 15 weeks or sooner will have their lifesaving laws completely wiped away. Every state in this country will have to allow elective second- and third-trimester abortions, which the people overwhelmingly oppose. Pregnancy resource centers that support families in need will be shuttered, and women who want to parent their children will be left without the resources and support they need to choose life. More Americans will have their lives ended by abortion. They will never be born to fulfill their God-given purposes. More women will live with the pain of abortion, a wound that may never entirely go away.
We must all strive so not a word of this comes true. Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and affiliates plan to raise and spend a record $92 million this election cycle to protect life across America. We are educating voters on the stakes and ensuring abortion extremism costs Kamala and the Democrats on Election Day. We’re working to reach 10 million voters across eight battleground states by Nov. 5, including making four million visits to voters directly at their doorsteps. But we cannot defeat the Democrats on our own. We need all hands on deck. The pro-life grassroots must continue to fight. Republicans must engage. And voters must show up to be a voice for the unborn and their mothers.
This is without question the most vital election for life to date. Harris’ extreme abortion policies must be stopped on the campaign trail before they are imposed across every state in the country. With lives on the line this November, no one can sit this one out.
