Presentation Paradox – THE NEW YORK TIMES / TIME MAGAZINE

  • Nothing has changed with Biden, so what has changed with your outlets?

It continues to be something to behold, watching the various journalists and news outlets contorting and writhing in the aftermath of the debate debacle. Exposed by their duration of telling us we were anything from hurtful to corrupt for noticing there was a problem with President Biden, today they struggle to report on things, while trying to not become impugned by those past stances.

It is not working.

These are the kind of wild swings of coverage we need to remember. There's really no excusing this abject level of journalistic malpractice.

Gilded Reframe – NEWSWEEK

We need to delve into a good find from Calvin at our family site Twitchy. He spotted this dose of revisionism from Newsweek where a very curious claim was made that was a direct result of a reporter displaying the complete absence in curiosity. Following the debate came the very dubious claim that “independent voters” came to the decision to vote for Joe Biden after he turned in that President Silver Alert performance on the debate stage. Then it became…one voter, somehow.

In order to see what transpired, we will provide a reverse-flowchart on how this found its way into print:

  • The Biden-Harris account claims undecided voters now back Biden. →

  • Newsweek stated independent voters decided to vote for Biden. →

  • This was based on a solitary account from a Democrat operative. →

  • That account cited the claim made by Univision. →

  • The Spanish-language channel had a focus group watch the debate. A single member said they were independent and backing Biden. So this was all based on Uno voter.

Blue-Anon – CNN

  • What compels a journalist to think murder has become sanctioned?!

Today, the Supreme Court delivered its ruling on the presidential immunity case, and it basically was a split-the-baby decision. That said, you knew there would be outrage on the left and in the press. Looking over this decision, Jake Tapper arrived at a rather stunted conclusion: This means a president can assassinate anyone they choose!

Clearly, this is Jake looking at this strictly through the prism of a Trump presidency. Otherwise, we can apply the usual hysterical reactions to his words. After all, it sure sounds as if Tapper is encouraging violence to be handed down from the White House.

Anti-Social Media – CBS NEWS

  • Missing the point how this reaction proves his point.

It has become a growing trend of pundits cutting off their conservative guests for daring to point out uncomfortable facts. In the latest, we have Margaret Brennan getting into a tense debate with Senator J.D. Vance over the coverage of Trump’s lies…and the lack of coverage of Biden’s lies.

Brennan took exception with the press being blamed for what appears to be a slanted approach to one party. So, she ends up effectively proving his point by her way of shutting down a member of the other party.

Legalized Press-titution – MSNBC

  • The question now becomes, what would it take to not vote for the guy?

There is absolutely zero surprise to see the “Morning Joe” crew maintaining their support for Joe Biden. By this stage, they have pushed all their chips in and are simply hoping that bluffing will get them to a break-even point.

But making the already compromised stature of the show more diminished is appearing like mynah birds and repeating the White House/Democrat talking point of “just one bad night.”
