De Blasio's BLM Mural Says All You Need to Know About 'Woke' Governance

Like the Dallas Cowboys, you just need to give it time; they'll disappoint. Hence, their lack of Super Bowl rings for nearly a quarter-century, something I'm not complaining about in the slightest. In politics, the same mindset can be applied to Democrats; give it time—they'll destroy whatever they takeover. The Left took over the cities, and nothing has changed for residents, especially black Americans. These cities are now nothing more than Democratic powerbases that lie, cheat, and steal from residents who keep voting leftists into power. In New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio is doing his part in destroying the city. If you gave him time, Billy was going to do it.

All leftists are arrogant, which is matched by their equally noxious stupidity. Did anyone think going to war with the brave men and women who protect the city was a good idea? Apparently, little Billy did. And now we have a situation where he wants to cut $1 billion from the NYPD in an effort to pander to black activists while the city deals with a horde of law enforcement retirements, thanks to his disastrous leadership. It's a two-front nightmare. On the one hand, you already had a wave of veterans reach their 20-year mark of service, where they were already ready to submit their papers. Now, with overtime being cut, there's been an avalanche from NY's finest to the exit.

With the Left bashing cops, why would law enforcement officers stay on the job if they don't have the support from the leaders of the city? As a result, we're seeing spikes in crime. Gone are the days of law and order under for mayors Rudy Giuliani and Mike Bloomberg. Both were wrong on gun control, but both mayors brought order and economic investment into the city. De Blasio is the doofus who thinks a Black Lives Matter mural is something that is of high achievement. It's crap. No one cares about your political stunts if their neighborhoods are being shot up, Billy. Local news outlets say the string of shootings has no end in sight. We recently had 15 shooting in 15 hours. Children are now dying in the streets, the youngest victim being a one-year-old boy in Brooklyn (via WSJ):

A 1-year-old boy was killed and at least 34 people were injured in more than two dozen shootings in New York City over the weekend, continuing a rise in violence that began earlier this summer, police officials said Monday.

The boy was shot in the stomach when gunmen opened fire Sunday night on a gathering in a park in Brooklyn, according to New York Police Department officials. The child, Davell Gardner, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the officials.

Three other people were also shot in the incident, which took place around 11:30 p.m. in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of the borough, the officials said. All three were expected to survive. No arrests have been made so far, according to the officials.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio called the incident “so painful” in a press briefing Monday.

Oh, shut up, Bill. This is your fault. It's all your fault. You tied the hands of the NYPD, let the mob takeover, and then tell the boys and girls in blue you're cutting $1 billion from their budget. And somehow, people are shocked that crime is rising. Actually, the only people who are shocked are liberals because, well, they're all one brain cell away from being declared mentally defective.

Billy is more concerned that the mural he painted was vandalized. It's a clown show. Large gatherings are now banned, except those protesting in support of Black Lives Matter. How in the hell does that make sense? Also, when will you stop harassing the Jewish residents like a Nazi, Bill? You've all but pegged imaginary yellow stars on these communities.

No doubt, some in the Orthodox community flouted the rules. Israel dealt with the same issue, but the lack of consistency, especially after the George Floyd riots, is appalling. Only protesters can be outside, but everyone else has to abide by the rules. This is "woke" governance. This is Democrats in charge. It's corrupt, chaotic, and utterly idiotic. For example, Comrade Bill has ordered city officials not to ask new COVID patients if they had attended demonstrations in the past few weeks regarding the Big Apple's contact tracing measure. It's worthless, then. If there's anyone who politicized this crisis more, it's Billy D. and his band of morons who have shown just the utter rot progressives bring to their ways of governing. We're having a nationwide outbreak because we had this clown running New York City. The New York Times even said so. Billy was told in March by the city health commissioner about the seriousness of the virus, and even presented evidence of an outbreak in the city. Yet De Blasio did nothing.

This is a man who cares more about a mural than human lives. Then again, if you look at the history of communism, they don't care too much for human life either. Stalin and Mao were quite the gruesome twosome when it came to shoving their own people into the meat grinder in the name of "progress." Look, there's going to be a lot of shootings, dead people, and removal of statues, but we're going to defund the police. Mission accomplished, right? De Blasio's an absolute clown. The city is crying out for Bill to do something because everyone sees the trajectory going into Dinkins-land (via NY Post):

Thirty years ago, The Post called on Mayor David Dinkins to do something about soaring violent crime. He did. How about you, Mayor Bill de Blasio?

Today’s crime numbers are nothing like as bad as back on Sept. 7, 1990, but the direction is the same. And New Yorkers learned in the years that followed that it is entirely possible to “do something” and make a world of difference.

[…]

Starting in 1991, the Safe Streets, Safe City initiative enlarged the NYPD by more than 6,000 cops, while also bolstering the courts. As department veteran Ray Kelly took over as police commissioner in 1992, murders and other crime started to drop.

Meanwhile, another policing revolution began underground, as NYC Transit Police Chief Bill Bratton shifted to the “broken windows” approach of refusing to tolerate low-level crimes like farebeating — which proved to drastically boost safety in the subways.

Dinkins’ one-year delay in launching Safe Streets, Safe City likely cost him re-election in 1993. (The 1991 Crown Heights riots, when the NYPD for days seemed impotent, didn’t help.) But new Mayor Rudy Giuliani made Bratton his commish, the NYPD adopted CompStat to focus resources and leadership on crime hot spots — and what’s now a decades-long victory over violence was fully under way.

That victory, incidentally, didn’t just reduce crime: Incarceration rates soon fell just as steadily — because no one goes to jail or prison for a crime that doesn’t happen.

[…]

Yet these tremendous gains are now at risk: Shootings in June hit the highest monthly total since 1996, while the Fourth of July weekend brought several dozen more, plus nearly a dozen homicides.

And the mayor is throwing up his hands: On Monday, he basically blamed the coronavirus lockdowns for creating a “cabin fever” crime wave and also cited the perps walking the streets because courts are largely closed.

NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan also blames the state’s no-bail law and the general rise in animosity toward cops since the George Floyd killing, as well as the City Council’s new law criminalizing police use of chokeholds, because it’s been broadened to theoretically cover almost any physical struggle with a perp.

Fact is, all that and more likely plays into it, and several of those issues need addressing. But the trend has a momentum all its own, and won’t reverse unless the city’s leaders show they’re serious about putting public safety first.

The Post gave its recommendations to curb the spike in crime, one of which was to get the plain-clothes unit back on the street. For almost 30 years, the NYPD, under two Republican mayoralties, made the Big Apple one of the safest cities in the country. Bill won't do anything. His politics won't allow him. He's weak. He's a joke. He's a total and utter moron. His tenures will be marked as the mayor who let NYC descend into chaos. Nice going, Billy boy.
