The running joke was that America doesn't have its version of the Schutzstaffel because the Internal Revenue Service exists. Everyone knows that the most up-to-date records on anyone in America related to their taxes are overseen by this army of IRS agents who ensure Uncle Sam gets his share of the pie every year. The pounds of flesh Americans must excise annually vary, but rising inflation right now is killing everyone.
To complicate matters, Senate Democrats were able to hash out something that Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Krysten Sinema (D-AZ) like, paving the way for a massive spending bill that will increase taxes on the middle class. And it wouldn't be a proper piece of spending legislation from Congress if it wasn't loaded with pork, like this deluge of cash earmarked for the IRS.
Would it shock you that Democrats gave the IRS $80 billion? By all accounts, they didn't even want this much, but congressional Democrats force-fed them the cash, which will undoubtedly be weaponized against America's middle and working classes. The Democrats already have the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to run interference and manufacture fake evidence to hamstring the political enemies of the Democratic Party. They did so with Donald Trump and the phony Russian collusion operation. They're doing so again by playing an endless game of whack-a-mole with the Hunter Biden laptop.

Also, need I remind everyone that the IRS has targeted conservatives before? The stink from the 2013 IRS targeting scandal, which to no one's shock, ended with no one being charged or indicted, has not gone away. It was one of a slew of Obama scandals, along with Fast and Furious and the covert obtention of AP reporters' phone records, that got suffocated with a pillow from the media.

Given the government's track record under the yoke of Democrats, we should all be prepared for a deluge of audits, most of which will be nonsensical. They need to use the money somehow. They can't steal $80 billion, so what do you do? Hire more agents and go after ordinary Americans because of their legal and unsuspicious Venmo activity. Donald Trump may have changed the courts, which is to his credit, but the Democrats still have an institutional stranglehold that keeps their allies safe, that includes some Republicans. The political class now has the DOJ, FBI, and the IRS working in tandem to protect them.
Biden just juiced America's original political task force. They're not going to sit on the sidelines. Hunting season will begin soon.
