Hi, everybody! This is Kurt Schlichter on the Stream of Kurtiousness report. This is my Friday five-minute cry from the heart of conservative love. I hope you brace yourself for it. Now, you can get my "Unredacted" podcast every Monday. You can get my column every Monday. My VIP column every Wednesday. My other column every Thursday. But this Friday thing is special, because it's you and me and we're sharing, we're together. I think it's a beautiful thing. I'm feeling a lot of love here from you, and I'm feeling a lot of laughter. Why am I feeling a lot of laughter? A bunch of leftists got a healthy dose of comeuppance.

There's nothing I like more than a good heaping helping o' comeuppance, especially when it's posing Marxist-communists being hoisted on their own petard, so to speak. Now, what happened? Well, we all know about cancel culture. That's a technique that was supposed to be used to shut us conservatives up forever; hasn't quite worked out that way.

What happened, gosh, Thursday, was a young lady named Emily Wilder, who was a Palestinian activist in college, so she's probably majored in gender studies and disappointing her dad, she was hired by the Associated Press. Now, Palestinian activist, Associated Press, you're thinking, "Okay, on-brand. Pretty cool." I mean, these guys had a frat house in Gaza that the Israelis flattened the other day. The AP was like, "Hamas was there? Huh? I can't even believe... What? What are you saying? No, no, no, no, no... Those guys with AK-47s they were...it was um...it was a consulting firm of some sort."

It's very on-brand. You would think that they embrace this stuff. They hire her and then they fire her when her mean tweets come to light. Yes, mean tweets. Mean tweets, as we know, the worst thing in the universe. They're worse than gas lines. They are worse than Middle East trouble. They are worse than inflation. They are worse than uppity Chi-Coms, Commie Russians, and Iranians. They are the worst things in the world, we've been told this – and she had them. She had 'em.

Her tweets were ugly. I mean, really anti-Semitic stuff. Just gross, okay? The kind of things that civilized people would never consider saying. It's just disgusting, and she got fired.

Glenn Kessler, who is in the Washington Post, and people recently said, "Hey, we looked into your background and you're descended from Nazis," so Herr Kessler was very upset, and Will Sommer, who writes for The Daily Beast, and he's a ridiculous bottom-feeder, he's the guy who has the conservative beat, so he was kind of trying to "Jake Tapper" it, you know, be nice to the conservatives before he stuck them in the back. Yeah, that doesn't work anymore. We all hate him and won't talk to him. Anyway, they're both up in arms, "I cannot believe that you fired...How could this happen? How could you fire her? What about grace for young people making mistakes?"

And, you know, you're listening to this going, "Well, that's sounds familiar. That sounds really familiar."

But, I proposed changing the rules back to not ruining someone's life because they say something idiotic in college, I proposed that. And you Oberführer Kessler and that Daily Beast guy, you and you're friends, informed me that that was unacceptable. That we were going to go with the new rules. So, I think we ought to go with the new rules right up your Chuck Schumers. And I hope you enjoy it.

Now, the funny thing is, if you look lately about cancel culture, who are the people being canceled now? Well, it's not really conservatives. Conservatives are kind of done. I get complained about all the time, "Kurt's the worst guy in the world! He's evil! He's so horrible! He's the anti-Christ! He's the anti-Christ to the anti-Christ!" And you know, guys like Derek Hunter, Larry O'Connor, Matt Vespa, Storm Paglia, well they tried to kill Julio Rosas, that didn't work out so good for them, but they tried to cancel all of us at Townhall. That ain't going to work. And they do that at other conservative places, and that ain't going to work. We conservatives, we're just not going to fall for that crap anymore.

Who will?

Well, the friends of the liberals. See, it's the soft liberals who fall for it. Right? It's guys at like The New York Times and The Washington Post and MSNBCNN, they fall for it. They fire you. The AP fires their own. They're killing their own. It's blue one blue. They're eating themselves like a snake devouring its tail. I love it.

Again, comeuppance. Comeuppance is my favorite of all uppances. It's great.

I say, enjoy the new rules that you made and enjoy that kind of cultural suppository because it's now your problem. We're opting out.

But I'm glad you opted into the Stream of Kurtiousness, where I talk for a little over five minutes with bizarre art in the background. Don't forget to follow me on Twitter, @KurtSchlichter. Go to my Locals community because we have lots of stuff there, you can find all things Kurt there. And get my books, starting with "People's Republic," and, boy, that's about it for now. But I'm sure I'll be pissed off about something next week. And I'll see you then! Bye!
