Last December, Joe Biden warned of a winter of doom, a plague of Biblical proportions and just as Moses hoisted a brass serpent mounted to a pole, Biden declared that we must look to “the science” and to the great Fauci—the ubiquitous state demanded obedience to the COVID gods. Biden, and statists like him always demand a religious fealty to bureaucracy. COVID and every other crisis are just goads designed to prod us into a cold, seamless line.
“We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated,” Biden gravely warned America on Thursday, December 16, 2021,—“for themselves, their families and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm.” Omicron was upon us and the Black Death could hardly be more dreadful. Fear is what the Democrats want and as Herbert wrote in his science fiction novel, Dune, “Fear is the mind killer.”
The modern symbol for western medicine is composed of a serpent wrapped around a rod. This image exists in Greek mythology and is known as the Rod of Asclepius. The symbol takes its name from the Greek god Asclepius, who was associated with healing and medicine. About 300 BC the cult of Asclepius became popular in Grecian culture. Healing rituals would involve non-venomous snakes which were allowed to slither among the sick. There are many interpretations as to the symbology of the Rod of Asclepius in antiquity. However, there is a far older account that is more instructive and far more significant.
The book of Numbers was written between 1440 and 1400 BC. Chapter 21 records the complaints of the Israelites, wandering in the wilderness. God had provided a miraculous food, manna, and the Israelites complained against God and Moses, describing it as a “light bread” — essentially, saying that God’s provision wasn’t good enough. In light of their miraculous deliverance from Egypt and the miracles they’d witnessed to that point, this was the height of arrogance and ingratitude. As a result, God sent “fiery serpents among the people.” His purpose, as it always is in executing judgment, was to bring the Israelites back into fellowship with him. In order to accomplish this, God commanded Moses to do something quite strange. Moses was to fashion a serpent out of brass, a metal associated with judgment, affix it to a pole, and display it prominently. God said that, “it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.” (Numbers 21:8)
The serpent set on a pole was a type of Christ. It took faith to shift focus onto God’s method of deliverance while serpents writhed at the people’s feet. “And it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.” (Numbers 21:9) Allegorically, we’ve all been bitten by sin and must behold Christ the redeemer if we wish to live eternally. But in terms of the medical symbol we all know so well, it is more likely derived from the ancient biblical account.
If God were to send fiery serpents among the Democratic National Convention attendants, they’d fear monger, just like the ancient Israelites who cried bitterly, “wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water.” (Numbers 21:5) Democrats like Joe Biden know there is power in fear. Every totalitarian worth his or her salt knows that the masses may be driven quickly and efficiently if their fears may be stoked and if the state can be positioned as the savior. So much evil in the world is accomplished in the name of the public good or public health and safety. Rationality is overcome in the flood of emotion.
While Joe Biden was fear mongering for political advantage, South African doctor Angelique Coetzee, the chair of the South African Medical Association, who first identified the Omicron variant, predicted mild symptoms and full recovery without hospitalization. CDC statistics record the precipitous decline in daily COVID cases beginning in December of 2021 on the heels of Biden’s propaganda. God certainly has a sense of humor. Just when Biden was warning of a “winter of illness and death,” the science was recording the final sputters of the COVID pandemic. But it wasn’t supposed to be a winter of death for everyone—only for the unvaccinated.
Bad people usually tell on themselves, and “lunch bucket Joe” is the king of unconscious self-revelation. One of the primary motives for all the panic peddling was to drive people to receive experimental serums, deceptively labeled as vaccines, from Big Pharma corporations. Just “follow the money” is a truism among investigators—it’s simple, so it’s easy to miss. Who stands to gain the most from the ubiquitous use of “vaccines?” What industry has received complete immunity from civil liability? Which industry spends hundreds of millions on K street lobbyists? The answer on all counts is Big Pharma. This isn’t capitalism at work, this is the worst of crony capitalism. And the so-called party of the little guy, the democrats, are in bed with the big corporations. Worst of all, the Biden “vaccines,” unchanged since the first days of Delta, were impotent in the face of Omicron.
But the dark winter was also about the further erosion of liberty. Joe Biden has empowered the Justice Department to attack mothers who peacefully protest at local school board meetings. The Biden administration has weaponized the CDC and created a de facto executive branch legislative body. The Biden regime, backed by the democrat party as a whole, has gleefully perpetrated mask misery on American school children, oppressing an entire generation of kids, creating an atmosphere of fear and emotional distress—all in the name of public health and safety.
The only real antidote to fear is faith, but not just faith in and of itself. The object of faith is important too. Faith in government leads to oppression and poverty. Faith in God leads to freedom and prosperity. Soviet Russia promoted faith in big government. The result of that experiment was human suffering on an unprecedented scale. Modern democrats are cut from the same cloth. The democrat party needs to be held to account for the lies and emotional distress. The mask torture, devoid of any scientific support, foisted on American school children should be reason enough to fire the lot of them at the ballot box this November.
